CHRISTMAS DELIGHT FROM SALE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
Sale Chamber Orchestra performed to a sell-out audience for their
Christmas concert on Saturday (December 9).
Shown are the Orchestra with Richard Howarth (conductor), Cllr Susan
Williams (Leader of Trafford Council) and young participants Isabel
Archer and Andrew Cropper after the concert. The programme included
music by Telemann, Mozart and Beethoven.
Sophie Rosa, currently a first year student at the Royal Northern
College of Music, was the soloist in Bach's Violin Concerto in A minor.

Sale Chamber Orchestra were the first group to use the new "Robert Bolt Theatre" in Sale. The theatre replaces the old Sale Civic Theatre as the main performing venue in Sale. It is situated on the Sale Town Hall site with its entrance on the side next to the canal and railway line. The pictures show the orchestra rehearsing on the platform stage, this can be removed for orchestral performances. The acoustics of the new hall are good and the Orchestra is looking forward to having a permanent new performing home in Sale.

There are some photos below from our final concert with Jonathan.
